Presenting Jason Moriarty: Yoga Spirit Festival Malaysia 2014 Teacher Line Up

Jason Moriarty. A rebellious conditioning coach, questions all we hold true in health and fitness and finds it lacking, he dislikes working out, but loves to have fun with movement. He believes we have simply been doing it wrong “gyms are bad for your health and soul”. The food pyramid and hitting the gym 3 times a week has failed. We need a new approach.

Jason is a former kick boxing champion, and has competed in sports at national and international levels. Including squash, cross- country running and hurling a modern Irish sport with its roots based in training warriors.

With over 20 years in the business working with athletes from Golf to Motor Sport, weekend hero’s to soccer mom’s and even the hit show Asia’s Biggest looser. He has distilled it all into short, fun, effective routines.

Jason has developed a number of unique concepts helping people find the fun in exercise. These include a Ladies Only Gym, Rebel Boot Camp and Tattoos and Tofu a fitness programme aimed at teenagers. Fit to Lead, and the Health Shift Programme.

A coach who brings passion and creativity to all his programs showing his clients how to enjoy the journey to a healthy lifestyle. Jason has trained countless people on the road to weight loss with his results guaranteed programs. Models such as Amber Chia, politicians and leaders of industry.

He is often invited to speak at the American Council on Exercise, as well as other forums and regularly contributes to national and international publications. Jason brings all this experience into his sessions, teaching people the techniques he teaches elite athletes and leaders to succeed.

Class with Jason at the Yoga Spirit Festival Malaysia, 11th & 12th Oct 2014:

The 8 Minute Lifestyle

From listening to thousands of people who tried to get healthy only to fall off. Jason realized they were doing far too much far too soon. Radical changes in your lifestyle habits rarely make sense and rarely last. People stop smoking, stop boozing, dump the junk food and start running 5 km a day and hitting the gym 3 times a week.

Within a couple of weeks this is all gone and the old habits are back. With his “8 Minute LifestyleJason looks at the 3 reasons people fail:

1. The “Rocky Balboa” Mind Game
2. The Deprive Strive
3. The Extremist Catch

The Changes required to make succeed:

1. Recognize that fitness is not isolated to your body.
2. Recognize that consistency beats intensity hands down.

All delivered with a fair amount of humor, science and common sense. Jason incorporates, yoga, strength and conditioning and meditation to his programme. It only takes 8 Minutes a day to achieve success.
