Presenting Jean Michele Lee: Yoga Spirit Festival Malaysia 2014 Teacher Line Up

Jean Michele Lee (ERYT-500) began her teaching career in 2005 after completing a three month teachers course with Manasa Yoga. In April 2013 Jean completed her 500hours teachers training with Manasa Yoga where she teaches regularly and she is a freelance teacher teaching with Fitness First, True Fitness and has long standing corporate clients here in Malaysia.

Jean's classes are essentially wisdom based and she continuously strive to swirl the concepts of Patanjali and Tantra into her yoga sequences. Jean loves watching and seeing her students evolve and change, physically, mentally and emotionally. Yoga has shown how powerfully we can connect at all levels.

As a teacher and as a practicing student with Manasa, Jean herself is ever growing. She has along the way in her 9 years of teaching come to accept her incapabilities and balanced that with the knowledge that there are still infinite possibilities.

Class with Jean at the Yoga Spirit Festival Malaysia, 11th & 12th October 2014:

All That is Bound will be Unbound

Drawing from the Patanjali Yoga Sutras. In his 1st chapter 2nd verse he says Yogashchitta vritti nirodaha - Yoga is the dissolution of fluctuations in the consciousness.

The monkey mind binds us to unwholesomeness , to matters that keep us sticky and stuck, and we allow our egos to rule and dominate. With this sequence, there will be an interplay of binding-unbinding sequences, which is intended to create skillful awareness in us that we do not have to be bound and attached to habits and traits that keep us stuck.
