Presenting Festival Teachers and Classes

Getting Rebelicious with Jason Moriarty

We will take a look at re-connecting your brain to your body. This training session will inject some of the fun back into exercise, the stuff gyms took.

Exercise does not have to hardwork or boring. We will walk, run, jump, throw things, balance on things and maybe climb a few things. Getting back to the functional movements and having fun like it used to be when we were kids.

You don't need a gym membership or expensive equipment to train. In fact that may be counter productive as most equipment is designed to isolate the muscle to one singular sterile movement. Your body doesn't work like that. It works in multiple directions using many different muscles to produce pain free movement patterns.

All you need is your body and some creative fun with the natural environment.

Jason Moriarty, A rebellious conditioning coach who questions all we hold true in health and fitness and finds it lacking. He dislikes working out, but loves to have fun with movement. He believes we have simple been doing it wrong and "gyms are bad for your health and soul". The food pyramid and hitting the gym 3 times a week has failed. We need a new approach. With 20 years of working with athletes from Golf to Motor Sports, weekend heros to soccer moms and even the hit TV show The Biggest Loser Asia. He has distilled it all into short, fun and effective routines.
